1. The service
ByteRooms provides collaborative design-interview practice: problems, rooms, AI reviews, human/community reviews, progression (XP/ranks), and a Byte Coin wallet. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform, evade payments, or harass others.
3. Byte Coins (BC)
- BC are virtual platform credits used inside ByteRooms (e.g. paid AI reviews after free quota, expert human reviews).
- BC are not money, have no cash value, are not redeemable for currency, and are not transferable between users.
- You may earn BC through allowed activity or buy packs via Razorpay as described on the Coins page and in our Refunds & Byte Coins policy.
- We may adjust economy rules (costs, rewards, packs) with notice on the site.
4. Reviews and content
You retain ownership of code and text you submit. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to run ByteRooms (including AI evaluation and peer review). Do not submit illegal, infringing, or harmful content. Feedback from AI or humans is educational — not professional legal, hiring, or investment advice.
5. Acceptable use
- No cheating systems meant to steal others' work or farm rewards unfairly
- No harassment, hate, or spam in channels/rooms
- No attempts to reverse-engineer, overload, or bypass payment/security controls
- No automated scraping that harms service availability
6. Payments
Purchases are charged by Razorpay in the currency shown at checkout (typically INR). Prices include applicable taxes only if stated at checkout. Failed or incomplete payments do not credit BC. See the Refunds policy for cancellations.
7. Availability & disclaimer
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law. To the maximum extent permitted, ByteRooms is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for interview / career outcomes.
8. Termination
You may stop using ByteRooms at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations or risk to the platform. Unused BC are non-refundable except where the Refunds policy or law requires otherwise.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
